Jose Angel (Guelo) Cintrón, de Andover, Massachusetts, falleció pacíficamente el 11 de enero de 2024, a la edad de 83 años. Nació en Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico, y posteriormente estableció su hogar en Andover, MA. Jose fue hijo de los fallecidos Fermin y Celia Cintrón. Además de sus padres, le precedieron en la muerte su hijo David Cintrón, las hermanas Annairsa y Elsa, y los hermanos Fermin y Nando.

En sus años más jóvenes, disfrutaba especialmente interpretando vibrantes canciones puertorriqueñas para su familia y amigos. Jose tuvo una pasión de toda la vida por la música y tocaba la guitarra, el cuatro, el acordeón y instrumentos de percusión. Su talento y espíritu alegre deleitaban a todos los que lo escuchaban tocar. Jose tenía un maravilloso sentido del humor que mantenía constantemente a su familia y amigos riendo y sonriendo.

Además de la música y los autos, Jose apreciaba a los animales, la jardinería, pasar tiempo al aire libre y pescar. Encontraba felicidad en las simples placeres de la naturaleza. Sobresalió en su trabajo como agricultor/jardinero, y trabajó en una fundición, así como en la empresa P T Brake Lining Company durante muchos años. Lo más importante, a Jose le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia.

Jose será muy extrañado y le sobreviven su amorosa esposa de 54 años, Esmeralda Cruz Rodríguez, sus hijas Rosa Rivera, Isabel Rivera, Juanita López y su prometido Víctor, y Gloria López y su esposa Tammi; y sus hijos Ramón Rivera, Bienvenido Almenas y su esposa Rebecca, Miguel López y su esposa Rosanna, y Ricardo López; nietos y bisnietos, una hermana, Nilda Cintrón, sobrinas y sobrinos. Todos fuimos bendecidos de tenerlo en nuestras vidas.

La familia desea expresar su sincero agradecimiento al personal de Mary Immaculate Rehabilitation y Beacon Hospice en Lawrence, MA, por su cuidado compasivo hacia Jose durante su estancia allí.

La visita se llevará a cabo el 19 de enero de 2024 de 11:00 am a 12:30 pm en la funeraria Perez, 298 South Broadway, Lawrence, MA 01843. Se llevará a cabo un entierro privado.

Jose Angel (Guelo) Cintrón, of Andover, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024, at
the age of 83. He was born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, and later made his home in Andover, MA. Jose
was the son of the late Fermin and Celia Cintrón. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son
David Cintrón, sisters Annairsa and Elsa, and brothers Fermin and Nando.
In his younger years, he most enjoyed performing vibrant Puerto Rican songs for his family and friends.
Jose had a lifelong passion for music and played guitar, the cuatro, accordion and percussion
instruments. His talent and joyful spirit brought delight to all who heard him play. Jose had a wonderful
sense of humor that constantly kept his family and friends laughing and smiling.
In addition to music and cars, Jose cherished animals, gardening, spending time outdoors and fishing. He
found happiness in nature's simple pleasures. He excelled at his work as a farmer/gardener, and worked
in a foundry, as well as the P T Brake Lining Company for many years. Most importantly, Jose loved
spending time with his family.
Jose will be dearly missed and is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Esmeralda Cruz Rodriguez, his
daughters, Rosa Rivera, Isabel Rivera, Juanita Lopez and her fiancée, Victor, and Gloria Lopez and her
wife, Tammi; and his sons, Ramon Rivera, Bienvenido Almenas and his wife, Rebecca, Miguel Lopez and
his wife, Rosanna, and Ricardo Lopez; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister, Nilda Cintrón,
nieces and nephews. We were all blessed to have him in our lives.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Mary Immaculate Rehabilitation and
Beacon Hospice in Lawrence, MA for their compassionate care of Jose during his time there.
Visitation will be held on January 19, 2024 from 11:00am-12:30pm at Perez Funeral Home, 298 South
Broadway, Lawrence, MA 01843. A private burial will be held.
